Ho ho hi-yah. Holidays at CMAA

Can you believe it? Another group of students this week is testing for black belts. This means no classes starting after 6 pm all week. But be sure to join us at the graduation on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at CMAA.

We are open for regular classes the week after, but closed Dec 22- 31 (although FKB will continue). Plan now though to attend the annual New Year’s Eve lock-in. Starting at 6 p.m., kids love this night with their friends. Register at the front desk. It’s $79 for individuals and $158 for families!

Jacob Glenn is an 11-year-old Alexander Graham Middle Schooler ranked High Brown Belt. He’s been doing martial arts since he was four, after he was given the class as a birthday present. He enjoys teaching and being in Elite SWAT but admits he misses being a Dragon. “I liked being a Little Dragon and playing games; that was pretty fun.” Today, although he’s challenged by memorizing all of the curriculum below him, he enjoys being committed to something and having to learn discipline.
